Daytona Platforms has achieved a valuation of $1 billion following a recent Series B funding event. The three-year-old enterprise secured $60 million in this latest financing push, bringing its total capital raised to $91 million. FirstMark Growth led the round, continuing its support after previously leading the startup’s Series A financing earlier in the year.

Expanding Backing and Industry Support

The New York-based organization attracted significant backing from prominent technology executives and venture capital firms. Participants in the round included prominent leaders from major technology companies such as Stripe, Shopify, Perplexity, Zoom, Datadog, Quora, and Mercor. Additionally, corporate venture capital arms including Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures contributed to the financing.

Infrastructure Challenges for Autonomous Systems

Daytona is developing specialized cloud infrastructure designed to support long-running autonomous agents. According to founder Ivan Burazin, traditional cloud environments were built for long-lived services rather than the dynamic demands of modern automated workflows. Modern agents frequently initiate thousands of transient, stateful jobs that require rapid resource allocation and tailored environments.

Platform Capabilities and Architecture

The startup provides dedicated virtual environments tailored to the requirements of automated software agents. Key features of the platform include:

  • Provision of dedicated computing environments for individual agents
  • Access to sandboxed operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS
  • Integration with specialized processing hardware such as GPUs

By tailoring cloud architecture specifically to the behavioral patterns of automated processes, the company aims to address computational bottlenecks encountered by engineering teams deploying large-scale agentic workflows.
