Amazon is rolling out a new feature that allows select customers to text its Alexa for Shopping tool for direct assistance during product searches. The update is designed to help users streamline their online retail experience through conversational messaging.

Streamlining the Shopping Journey

According to the eCommerce giant, participants in the initial rollout can send text requests directly to Alexa for Shopping. The tool is engineered to locate relevant items, assemble shopping carts, execute purchases, and supply up-to-date delivery notifications.

This development broadens the reach of Amazon’s voice-first assistant into text-based mobile interactions, offering consumers an alternative way to manage their purchases without relying solely on voice commands or manual browsing.
