Artificial intelligence assistant startup Town has achieved a unicorn valuation following a $108 million Series B funding round just four months after its public launch. The San Francisco-based enterprise secured the investment through a round co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures, bringing its total funding to at least $160 million to date. Additional participation in the financing came from prominent venture capital firms including Andreessen Horowitz, Serena Ventures, and First Round Capital.

Founded by former Plaid chief technology officer Jean-Denis Greze, the two-year-old organization develops workplace intelligence tools designed to streamline daily professional tasks. The platform provides corporate employees with personalized digital helpers referred to as Townies. These tools integrate directly with essential corporate software systems such as email clients, calendars, and other core workplace applications to manage routine responsibilities.

The system differentiates itself through collaborative capabilities that allow individual digital assistants to communicate with one another and share authorized data across organizational boundaries. Recent updates also enable these tools to interact directly with external stakeholders, including customers and external partners. Alongside the funding announcement, the company introduced a shared workflow feature that automatically synchronizes new enterprise data across all employee assistants simultaneously, eliminating the need for manual individual updates.

Rapid Growth in the Enterprise Market

The enterprise technology sector has seen a surge of intelligent automation solutions entering the market, but Town has experienced unusually rapid commercial traction. According to company disclosures, the business scaled to millions of dollars in annual recurring revenue within weeks of its public debut. This swift adoption reflects growing corporate demand for automated workflow coordination and administrative assistance.

The latest capital injection will support the continued scaling of the platform as the organization expands its engineering and market reach. Key areas of focus for the startup include:

  • Enhancing cross-platform integration capabilities for diverse enterprise software stacks.
  • Expanding secure communication protocols between internal and external digital assistants.
  • Scaling infrastructure to support millions of active corporate users and automated workflows.

As venture investment continues to flow into generative technology and automated workforce solutions, companies like Town are redefining how daily operations are managed. The rapid progression from its $55 million Series A round in June to a unicorn valuation underscores investor confidence in workplace automation tools that bridge multiple software environments.
